2010 Career Orientation

Career Orientation for third year and fourth year students was held last Saturday in our school. The speakers in this event were our teachers who also graduated from our Alma Mater. Our teachers shared some of their experiences and some advices and tips so we can choose the right career that we want to be in the future. First, know yourself. Know the things that you really want to do.

Honestly, I still don’t have a chosen course to take in college. I’m already a third year student. Next year, I will graduate already (I’m not sure because of research.). I must have already the decision about what course will I take. It’s not an easy decision because once you have chosen that career, it will be forever. When I’m still a child, I really wanted to be a doctor. Whenever they will ask me about that, I will answer them that I want to be a doctor someday but as I grow older and learn about the things around me, I realized that I don’t want to be a doctor. The reason is that it is a very long learning. It will take me more than 5 years to finish that course and I don’t want that but my parents and relatives want me to be a doctor so I’m really confused. Computer Engineering is also one of my choices because I want to take a course that is related to Math but I don’t want to be an accountant. I truly want to be an expert in Mathematics. I also want to take Computer Science because I want to fix my computers by myself. I also want to be a seawoman and a pilot because the first reason is that it has a high salary. The other is that it is a new experience. I don’t want to be a nurse because there are already many nurses around the world. I also want to be a lawyer because of high salary but what will happen to me if I don’t have any clients.

I really don’t have any idea on what course will I take. I hope whatever career I will choose, I will be successful but before thinking of that I must focus on graduating in high school.

Bye-Bye....

...Saturday Classes...

This is my first time to have classes during Saturdays. I really don't want to have Saturday classes because it reduces the time for me to rest, relax and do my assignments and projects. Instead of watching television and sleeping, I'm there at school studying and having difficult exercises.

For me, I feel that it's not like Saturday, I feel that it's like Tuesday. It's also fun because it was my first time and we just checked our testpapers. I was not able to attend all of the subjects this Saturday because we have our second seminar about Robotics.

We will still have many Saturday classes so maybe I will be used to it. I think it's really better than to answer a lot of modules and then pass it on Monday. We had our periodical test for third grading this Thursday and Friday. It's really hard but I'm lucky that I passed on other subjects. I'm just very thankful.

bye...

...Robotics...

Happy New Year...

I really love Media Noche ever since I'm a child because every midnight, there are lots of food in our table. There is cake, ice cream, and others. We are also following some "pamahiins" like we are getting noisy in midnight, I'm also jumping so I will get tall and we are also throwing coins all around the house. We also have a tiger in our table because it's Year of the Tiger. I'm also very happy because I heard in the news that Pisces are very lucky this year and I'm Pisces. I'm really happy and I hope this year is really good for me.

Robots...

I attended a seminar this Saturday in our school about Robotics. The one who discussed it on us is not a teacher in our school. He is Mr. Rox. We made a robot. It is a Lego NXT and we learned how to make it move. It's really fun and really awesome. It's my first time to do like that. I love it and I'm excited for our next seminar. I'm very lucky that I'm one of the chosen students.

happy new year!!!
